Tending Bridges across the Southeast

When most people think of facilities, they generally think of buildings or campuses. And when they think of facilities services, they generally think of janitorial and maintenance services. While Velociti provides those services, we also work with clients across the Southeast to handle any other facilities needs that may come up (and down). Velociti team members currently tend drawbridges in multiple states!

More than 30 bridges across different states and municipalities have a Velociti team member manning the controls 24 hours a day, 365 days each year. We work with each client to make sure our 200 bridge tenders are in compliance and receive US Coast Guard training and certification for the specific type of bridge they tend, then make sure they stay in compliance with regular training and safety inspections. Then we make sure that bridges are appropriately staffed to have coverage for both tending and maintenance. Some bridges open as needed, while others may open 30-40 times each day.

Since Velociti team members are almost always seen as an extension of the client’s team, we place the highest priority on finding the best people, then equipping them with the best training and technology to make sure you never have to worry about facilities, whether you’re running a business or raising a bridge.
